Structure

• Supervision follows a layered approach:

  • On-site Supervisors

  • Mobile Supervisors

  • Random Spot Checks

On-site Supervisors

• Supervisors are deployed on every shift.

• Responsible for:

  • Ensuring guards report on time

  • Reporting absenteeism

  • Liaising with client site representatives

  • Completing and submitting incident reports to the Operational Director

Duties During Visits

During visits, Supervisors will:

• Verify the post is manned

• Confirm guard alertness and adherence to post orders

• Ensure guards are in full uniform

• Check the operation of:

  • Flashlights

  • Gates and physical barriers

  • Exterior lighting (at night)

  • Locked doors and gates

• Confirm proper post log entries

• Record time of visit and observations

• Test guards on their knowledge of post orders

• Identify any security weaknesses or needed improvements

Mobile Patrol Supervisors

• Conduct joint rounds per shift with site supervisors

• Report any security concerns to the contract supervisor and management

Random Spot Checks

• Operations Directors perform random checks to confirm:

  • Guards are fully kitted and alert

  • Post instructions are being followed
